January 5, 2007 December Employment Figures Indicate Favorable Signs!
Today's recently announced December employment figures offer encouraging signs for jobseekers as they kick off the New Year.
According to the Department of Labor, a total of 167,000 new jobs were created in December. This increase is the largest seen for 2006, providing a relatively unchanged unemployment rate of 4.5%.
What is even more exciting is that 2006 concluded with the number of unemployed persons declining throughout the year, from 7.3 million to 6.8 million.
All figures provided indicate favorable results. Therefore, jobseekers should feel confident as they search and succeed in finding that perfect job in 2007.
