IT Job Prospects Continue to be Strong

According to a recent report in Computerworld, hiring for IT jobs is expected to heat up as businesses expand IT budgets. Job applicants with experience in specific industries are in especially high demand. On Dice.com, job postings for developers, project managers and help desk technicians rose by nearly half.

About This Blog

At All Star Resume, we understand that your resume and cover letter are very important to you – but we also understand that these documents are not the only part of the job search process you have to worry about. That is why, after some prodding, we've decided to add this blog to our career center section.

This blog is where we will talk about those other things: career planning, job interview tips, the economy, networking opportunities, managing recommenders – and where we will occasionally make timely and general comments about the roles these items play in hiring decisions.

Of course we'll say something about resumes when the occasion arises. However, most of the posts to this blog will be about other aspects of career planning and job searching.
