Behavioral Interviews are increasingly used by employers. They are based on the premise that the best predictor of
future performance is past performance. The interviewer will ask about your past performance such as, "Tell me about a
time when you had to take leadership of a situation." To perform your best at a
behavioral interview, you will want to
do some assessment of yourself and the position you are applying for. How did you handle difficult and challenging situations
in the past? What actions did you take that led to successful outcomes? What do you know about the job you would like to get?
What skills and abilities to handle challenging situations are likely to come with this job? Being able to relay stories of
times in which you took action and delivered results will convey the type of competence employers are seeking.
