Is Becoming a Motivational Speaker a Career Option for you?
You could be treated to a new type of speaker at your next corporate retreat.
The days of big name management gurus and executives with fancy titles appear to
be waning due to increased skepticism after the recent string of corporate
scandals. So in their place have stepped inspirational speakers who talk about
their tales of conquering personal adversity. Many of these speakers do not have
business backgrounds, but the corporate employers are finding their uplifting
messages to be exactly what their employees need these days.
Are you interested in becoming such a motivational speaker? Fees for such
speakers start at a few thousand dollars, but many of the established
professional speakers go for weeks in between engagements. And, while those of
us here at All Star Resume don't want to be accused of discouragement, please be
aware that just as quickly as the popularity pendulum swung away from the
management gurus and top executives, it could just as easily swing away from the
current crop of popular speakers.
